POS integration
Connect Square POS for automatic sales sync, or use CSV/Excel import for any system.
Square POS
MenuWright integrates with Square via OAuth. The connection is read-only — MenuWright never modifies your Square account, processes payments, or accesses customer payment details.
Connecting
- Settings → POS Integration → Connect Square.
- Log in to your Square account and authorize MenuWright.
- MenuWright imports your last 90 days of itemized sales.
- Daily sync runs automatically (configurable in Settings → Sync Schedule).
What MenuWright reads
- Itemized sales (item name, quantity, revenue, timestamp)
- Category and modifier data
- Tax and discount breakdowns
What MenuWright does NOT access
- Customer payment card data
- Employee payroll or tips
- Bank account or transfer details
Disconnecting
Settings → POS Integration → Disconnect. This stops sync immediately. Historical data already imported remains in MenuWright until you delete it.
CSV / Excel import
For restaurants not on Square (or any POS), upload a file:
Required columns

Upload at Settings → Data Import. Files up to 10 MB, .csv or .xlsx.
Toast and Clover
The adapter interface is designed for Toast and Clover integrations. These are on the roadmap but not yet available. Use CSV/Excel import in the meantime.
